Suhar Airport, Sultanate of Oman

Project description

Suhar Airport, located 13 km northwest of Suhar City Centre, serves as a fast and convenient gateway to Suhar and northern Oman. The airport provides an important route for cargo and courier traffic, helping to reduce pressure on Sultan Qaboos Port in Muscat. Strategically positioned near Suhar’s main commercial, industrial, and economic zones, including the Port of Suhar special economic area, it also functions as an emergency alternative to Muscat Airport. Connected to developing highway and railway networks, Suhar Airport supports the city’s ongoing transformation into a major industrial and economic hub along the Al-Batinah coast.
