Qena Governorate Environmental Study

Project description

New Qina City, established by Republican Decree No. 197 of 2000, is a third-generation urban development designed to boost investment opportunities in Upper Egypt, particularly around Qina. Located 8 km east of the Nile and planned over 24.2 thousand feddans, the city forms a strategic extension to existing Qina. Around 7,000 feddans are dedicated to the urban mass, while the remaining land accommodates services, industrial zones, and extensive green areas. New Qina is structured into well-defined residential districts, service clusters, industrial zones, and tourist and recreational areas, supporting a balanced and sustainable urban environment.
