New Tiba City Industrial Park, EGYPT

Project description

Tiba City, northeast of Luxor, spans 9,495 acres and is planned to grow to 238,000 residents. It features over 8,100 housing units, extensive services, advanced utilities, major road networks, and a 382-acre industrial zone providing 25,000 jobs, supported by more than 2.6 billion EGP in investments.

The New Tiba Industrial Park is a key economic component of New Tiba City, located 14 km northeast of Luxor and developed by the New Urban Communities Authority to stimulate industrial growth in Upper Egypt. Spanning approximately 382.71 acres, the park includes 659 industrial plots ranging from 300 to 7,200 sqm, designed to accommodate a wide range of manufacturing and commercial activities. The zone is equipped with essential infrastructure - water, sewerage, electricity, and internal road networks - ensuring readiness for industrial operations. As a major investment hub, the park is expected to generate around 25,000 job opportunities, supporting regional development and local industry localization.

EcoBusiness Scope

For the New Urban Communities Authority under the Egyptian Ministry Of Housing, EcoBusiness carried out the following: 

         Conducted comprehensive site visits and coordinated multidisciplinary expert activities to assess the proposed New Tiba Industrial Park location.

         Performed environmental sampling and laboratory analysis of soil, water, air, and other relevant parameters to establish baseline conditions.

         Evaluated potential environmental impacts of the industrial park, including effects on local ecosystems, resources, and surrounding communities.

         Prepared a detailed Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report with recommendations for mitigation measures and sustainable development practices.

         Coordinated meetings with the client and authorities, ensuring the study met regulatory requirements and received approval from the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency.
