El-Monte Galala Yacht Marina, Gulf Of Suze, EGYPT

Project description

El-Monte Galala in Ain Sokhna, Egypt, is a large luxury mixed-use mountain-top resort and residential development by Tatweer Misr, positioned on the Galala plateau with panoramic Red Sea views and located about 11 km before Porto Sokhna. Inspired by the Italian Riviera, the project blends coastal leisure with mountain adventure through its signature mountain-top lagoon, sandy beaches, hotels, restaurants, and retail areas, complemented by adventure parks offering zip-lining, rock climbing, and mountain-biking trails. The community includes a wide variety of residential units—chalets, villas, townhouses, studios, and apartments—designed to provide a distinctive lifestyle that merges beach relaxation with elevated mountain living.

EcoBusiness Scope

Establish baseline conditions through comprehensive field surveys covering marine ecology, water and sediment quality, and coastal morphology.

Assess environmental impacts of dredging, marina basin formation, shoreline works, and yacht movements on coral habitats, seagrass beds, and coastal ecosystems.

Prepare the EIA and required EEAA submissions, including mitigation, monitoring, and environmental management measures.

Review engineering and operational plans to ensure sustainable, low-impact design—covering shoreline protection, dredging and disposal methods, energy efficiency, wastewater handling, and eco-friendly marina practices.

Implement environmental governance by developing marine management and construction monitoring programs, and coordinating with EEAA, local authorities, contractors, and community stakeholders.
