Citystars Sharm El Sheikh development is a large-scale, master-planned tourism and hospitality project, known for holding the Guinness World Record (as of 2015) for the world's largest man-made crystalline lagoon. The development is a major tourist destination featuring the centerpiece 12.5-hectare (30-acre) saltwater lagoon where visitors can swim and practice water sports, along with plans for hotels, residential units, a shopping center, an 18-hole golf course, and other leisure facilities. The complex is located on the east coast of Egypt in the Sinai desert, approximately 60 meters above sea level, offering views of the Red Sea and Tiran Island.
