Project description

Located in Ain Sokhna, Suze Governorate, Egypt, and with overall capacity of 512,000 m³/d, this plant has been developed over various phases to support the urban, industrial and tourist developments in the area. As the largest seawater desalination facility in Egypt, the plant includes a raw water intake system, a multi-stage pre-treatment process, reverse osmosis (RO) desalination units with high-pressure pumps and membranes, a post-treatment and remineralization stage and large storage tanks for the finished/desalinated water. The plant also has the essential electrical components like standby generators and control systems, along with civil works, administrative buildings, and intake/outfall pipelines.
